The 34-year-old home athlete, world bronze in super-G in St. Moritz 2017, has fallen, the only one of 82 participants in the first time trial of the men's downhill World Cup in Lake Louise, and ended up ruinous in the nets.
Manny, one of the veterans of the maple tree speed team, was taken from the helicopter track and then taken to the Banff hospital where he was found to have a tibia and fibula fracture. Obviously for him the season is already over.
