It was not an easy two days for Italslalom protagonist in the European Cup.
The two tests between the narrow poles of Vaujany, a great classic of the continental circuit, saw only Hans Vaccari bring home today, in the bis race in France, a good 8th place, while Pietro Canzio finished 32nd and all the others standard bearers of the national team, from Tommaso Saccardi out in the 2nd heat (in the running for the best result of his young career) to Liberatore, Della Vite, Di Paolo, Ploner, Zingerle and Canins out in the 1st, did not cross the finish line.
After the first gem of Fabian Himmelsbach on Thursday, today it was the turn of success number 1 in the European Cup for Fadri Janutin: the 22-year-old Swiss beat the transalpine Paco Rassat by just 4 cents, again second as in the first slalom, with the 'other rossocrociaro Reto Maechler third at + 0 ”43.
