Marcel Hirscher: "I am the first to be surprised by my victory. I am not yet consistently safe in super-G, so this IS a great result for me. I work both in technical disciplines, but I did many days of training in super-G, I've made only four so far this season. But the super-g & egrave; somewhat a cross between giant and downhill, and today there & rsquo; had a couple of curves on which you had to bend like giant who made possible the victory. I do not think that making & ograve; all super-G this season. I made this super-G in Beaver Creek many times (four to be precise, ed), so I knew what to expect here, but would not make sense to make the super-G in Val Gardena, for example. I want to do more & ugrave, super-G, but my focus is more on technical, non-IS can be fine in 4 specialties & agrave; & rdquo ;.
Ted Ligety: "When I received the bib 29, I was not so & Igrave; excited for this. In super-G & egrave; certainly nice to start the first, but with the snowstorm today, IS was really hard for those guys coming down 15-22, the snowstorm & egrave; was really cool. When I left began to lighten a little '' cos & Igrave; I was able to ski well and capitalize on that little lull in the bad weather. It '' always nice to be on podium and IS everywhere, but especially in the US. It '' cos & Igrave; rare that we do a race in the United States because & eacute; most of the races of the World Cup are in Western Europe, so it IS beautiful skiing in the United States ".
Andrew Weibrecht: & ldquo; Today everything worked out great. Obviously c & rsquo; it was a bit '' of fresh snow so we were more & ugrave; slower than we had expected as it was yesterday, but & egrave; a super-smooth track and I think today we had to take charge and have some fun & rsquo ;. I'm happy with how I skied and happy with the way I skied yesterday and today as & egrave; Everything went well. I had two fifth places last winter, for which I am super-excited, it would be nice not to respond more & ugrave; the question of how I feel for having made the first podium in the World Cup. "
