Despite a final objectionable material to his class, Kjetil Jansrud is imposed in the second descent Kvitfjell ahead Peter Fill and Beat Feuz.

Sull'Olympiabakken today spared by the wind, and therefore, in its entirety, the test of Jansrud is almost perfect until the double loftet curve, when it finishes off line losing much speed for the final schuss. Fortunately for him the advantage gained in the earlier is enough to achieve victory number 19 in the World Cup, 20 considering gold in Super G in Sochi, the number 8 in Descent and 5 seasonal. Jansrud also becomes the first man to repeat itself this season in this specialty: earlier on 7 Descents including that of St. Moritz had set 7 different athletes.
Back on the podium Italy, and does so thanks to Peter Fill, ready to redeem himself after the bad test yesterday. The 34 year old Castelrotto makes a difference in the features of smoothness, but he lacks 8 cents to beat Jansrud. For him, however, comes the twentieth podium of his career, 18 of the World Cup and two world championship medals, but especially holds open the door of the specialty cup.
Jansrud fact is present in Aspen with the red bib and Fill only one able to steal the trophy. The two are separated by 33 points, which means that the blue, to repeat the triumph of last season, will have to win with the Norwegian third, or finish second with Jansrud fifth. The third place down the possibilities will be reduced drastically since the current leader simply a ninth place. Out of the game instead Dominik Paris, only ninth today despite the best from the last intermediate time to the finish line, and Hannes Reichelt, eleventh.
Returning to today's race, complete the podium Beat Feuz, only one to stand up to Jansrud for almost the whole track, but unable to place the decisive paw in the final stretch in which the Norwegian opens the way. To the world champion this is the podium number 25 in the World Cup, 27 ones in total first-level races.
Like yesterday, ending just off the podium the two Canadians who are making sparks in this period: fourth is Manuel Osborne-Paradis, Erik Guay sixth. Amid a good Carlo Janka, who, like Feuz fails to recover what others in the final part, fighting a possible placement at least in the top three. Said Paris, the top ten is completed by the winner of yesterday Bostian Kline seventh, by Aleksander Aamodt Kilde eighth and tenth Kriechmayr Vincent and best of the Austrians, now all decidedly subdued.

If the cup specialty is still open, nothing changes in the overall standings, with Marcel Hirscher who only expect the math to celebrate the sixth consecutive crystal ball. Terrific scrap for second place, with Alexis Pinturault and Henrik Kristoffersen, now absent, stop at 843 points and Jansrud dating back to 835. With the second place today Fill reaches Manfred Mölgg in seventh place and best of the Italians.
