Henrik Kristoffersen's season started well below expectations. After only the podium brought home with the second place in the parallel of Lech / Zuers (among other things in a discipline that has never seen him win), Lorenskog's ace even finished out of the top ten the next three giants (22nd and 12th in Santa Caterina, 15th in Alta Badia), only to get a disappointing sixth place yesterday, in the first slalom on the Gran Risa.
The gap from Pinturault and Kilde is already important, but today the Norwegian has a chance not to be wasted, perhaps the real hub of his first part of the season. The 3Tre is one of his favorite races, he who on the Canalone Miramonti in Madonna di Campiglio has obtained two victories by beating Marcel Hirscher in the head-on collision, in 2015 and 2016, to then take home two other podiums between 2017 (third to a breath from Hirscher and Aerni) and the last edition of 8 January 2020, second only to Daniel Yule. And in the middle, on 22 December 2018, there is the exit when he had finished the first heat in 2nd place, always glued to Hirscher.
