Simple words, those issued by Matthias Mayer to the ORF, but which say everything about the joy and importance of the triumph of the Austrian champion in the descent on the Streif. The queen race of Kitzbuehel and the entire white circus is back at the Wunderteam (if Dominik Paris had been there who knows what would have happened ... forget it), thanks to the masterpiece signed by the Carinthian, in the eighth career triumph (third seasonal in three different disciplines after the Lake Louise super-g and the Wengen combined), the second in the temple after the 2017 super-g.
Austria, however, has also returned to signing a brace (the last single victory went back to the gem of Hannes Reichelt in 2014) in Kitz 19 years after Maier-Trinkl-Eberharter, who even scored three of a kind. The second place of Kriechmayr, in fact, has a great value also for the same descentist native of Upper Austria.
