After the triptych of Bormio, we go towards a January with six slaloms and the defense of Kilde and Paris will be very tough. Tonetti is 2nd in the combined WCSL.

More and more a ... "mess".
Spend the deadline, but the fight for the absolute crystal ball in the men's sector sees the hierarchies turn over race after race, without someone really able to take the reins.
Henrik Kristoffersen could do it, with the six slaloms available in January, but we know how delicate the balance is in that discipline, and here the fight could remain open to 4-5 contenders for a long time.
The Bormio weekend, which had brought Dominik Paris in front of everyone, ended with the blow of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde who, despite not having yet won a race (double 2nd place in super-g at Beaver Creek and today in combined), he finds himself in front of everyone with 20 points on "Domme", 73 on Alexis Pinturault and 95 on Kristoffersen himself, while pure sprinters like Mayer, Feuz and Kriechmayr are already behind and we hardly see them able to fight for the maximum objective (obviously the same goes for Jansrud, 8th in the overall and decidedly disappointing also on the Stelvio).
Pinturault and Kristoffersen clearly remain the two references, but nothing is written. Quite different for the combined ranking, with the French already in front of everyone (there will be three races, with the next combined in Wengen on 17 January and the closing at the end of February in Hinterstoder) and dominant in the specialty WCSL, where at the second place we find ... Riccardo Tonetti. Sure, it is based on a limited number of races, but the continuity of the blue in this discipline is very good and places it in front of Hadalin, Schwarz and Muffat-Jeandet, in addition to Kilde himself.
In this sense, the negative result of Paris made the Val d''Ultimo jet go down to the 30th position, a position that however does not worry considering the startlist of the next descent for the combined scheduled in Wengen.
