Five "cockerels" will be competing on Wednesday in the third slalom of the season, with the leader still dry of podiums and winner in Sljeme 12 months ago. There are seven rossocrociati, while Sweden is betting everything on a Jakobsen in great shape.

Three days after the women's Sunday engagement, it will be the turn of the men slalom specialists to face the "Crveni Spust" on the Sljeme hill, for the classic Zagreb event that last year awarded Clément Noel (with the first podium in the World Cup by Alex Vinatzer, third).
The 23-year-old Frenchman is the man most awaited for redemption, after two inaugural slaloms on the Italian snows that went far from well, with the crash and the lack of qualification in Alta Badia, and then finished 5th in Campiglio. Noel will be one of only five athletes called up for the third seasonal race of the discipline, as the young Theo Letitre will focus on the European Cup slalom in Val Cenis (scheduled for January 6-7), he already the winner in the second round of Pozza di Fassa (the first went right to Noel).
Obviously there will also be Alexis Pinturault, called to overtake in the overall against Kilde, a Victor Muffat-Jeandet who started very well between the narrow poles, touching the podium on the Gran Risa before getting on the Canalone Miramonti, and the veterans Grange, sensationally sixth in the night of Campiglio, and Lizeroux.
Seven instead the Swiss called up by Matteo Joris for Zagreb (and then expected from the first home race on the snows of Adelboden, Sunday 10): Daniel Yule is looking for the first podium, after having disappointed in the second round of the first two slaloms, Ramon Zenhaeusern is already in full battle for the specialty cup, but high level results are also expected from Loic Meillard and Tanguy Nef, with the Rossocross team led by the Aosta Valley technician who is completed with Sandro Simonet, Luca Aerni and Marc Rochat.
If Sweden will focus only on Kristoffer Jakobsen, who started very well with the two comeback in Alta Badia and in Madonna di Campiglio earned heavy points, there will be a trio of attack for Germany with Linus Strasser, who wants something more than the top 15 world championship in which he is, Sebastian Holzmann and Julian Rauchfuss.
