The FISI has again chosen Val Senales for the "Media Day" which opened the 2019/2020 vintage for the Italian skiers. A little over two weeks from the giants of Solden, the occasion was ideal to present the renewal of the collaboration for another three years between Funivie Ghiacciai Val Senales SPA, represented by director Thomas Stecher, and the Federation with sporting director Max Rinaldi , flanked by Manfred Moelgg, Luca De Aliprandini, Riccardo Tonetti and Alex Vinatzer, among the expected protagonists of the first on the Oetztal. The blue ds Max Rinaldi has personally wanted to verify the goodness of the preparation of the tracks: "We thank Val Senales because in the coming weeks we will provide excellent tracks, to maintain the good level reached in Argentina and consolidate the conditions in view of the events of the Cup of the World. From next week there will be twelve of our national teams that will come here, and also the Leo Gurschler track is going to be completed in the final part. We just have to start. " Manfred Moelgg is ready to face the 'umpteenth vintage of a great career: "It will surely be a special season without Marcel Hirscher and the other athletes who have abandoned the activity - the marebbano said at the press conference - Frankly I did not expect the withdrawal of the Austrian champion, but it will not change much for us because the list of pretenders to the podium in each race is always very wide. Here we find important references because the slopes are accentuated and we can refine the last details â€. Riccardo Tonetti plays at home: "It's a glacier I've known perfectly since I was a child, because I came to train with the ski club. I became a skier thanks to Val Senales, I start from a good base deriving from last year's results, a bronze in the team event and a fourth place in the World Championships made me understand so many things, then an injury on the finish stopped me . I'm ready to start again, the goal is to be competitive in three specialties â€. Finally, Alex Vinatzer, the '99 class expected to confirm again after the beautiful things shown in his first real year in the World Cup: "Archive a 2019 full of satisfactions, but now it starts again from zero - the analysis of the Val Gardena slalom - I found good conditions during the rally in Argentina, the first goal is to go strong at Levi because immediately placing good shots at the beginning of the year can give you great enthusiasm. In my calendar we will also include the giant, but without haste, starting from the European Cup to improve the start number.
