The splendid career of the French slalomist will end tomorrow in the "night race", his 173rd race in the World Cup. Double world silver, 3 times cup winner, leaves a great ski, not only for what he has done on the track.

A true symbol of the white circus in the new millennium, he who made his debut in the World Cup on January 23, 2000 in the Kitzbuehel slalom.
Twenty-one years later, Julien Lizeroux will compete in his last race: the announcement came in the afternoon from the transalpine slalom rider himself, with a spectacular video on social media (where his girlfriend Tessa Worley is also the protagonist). “The end”, on the occasion of the race on Tuesday evening on the Planai in Schladming. The "night race" where, last year, at the age of 40 he was able to take an amazing 12th place, the last result in points of his wonderful career.
Well, Lizeroux will leave on the night of the Schladming slalom, without waiting for the two races of next weekend in Chamonix or the season finale. He chose a spectacular theater, unfortunately without an audience but full of meaning, for an ovation that Julien will receive from all the friends he will leave on the circuit. It will be the 173rd race of his journey to the World Cup, topped off by 9 podiums and 3 victories, all of the highest level between Kitzbuehel, Kranjska Gora and Adelboden (2009 and 2010). And then the double silver in the home world championship, in Val d''Isère 2009, between super combined and slalom.
Tomorrow it will be right to celebrate him in the best way, because the transalpine slalomist is a truly splendid character in the world of snow.
