Levi's men's slalom, or more generally the race weekend in Finland, was theirs.
Manfred Moelgg and Alex Vinatzer, respectively 10th and 12th on the "Levi Black", authors of an important race in the first of the new Corso Theolier, albeit with some regrets for the Maremma, 6th after the first run. "I was hoping to get on the podium, but basically that's okay - confesses Manfred in the post-race - In the second race I lost pace in the final part, but I'm very happy with my skiing. I did not give 100% of my level during this period, but the top ten is a good result to start the season ".
Alex Vinatzer got the best career result right on the track where he started two years ago in the World Cup. "I am very happy because this placement is worth a lot, even if the goal was to enter the top ten. I went near it, but I made a couple of mistakes ... ". The 20-year-old South Tyrolean goes into detail: "With the technicians we decided that I shouldn't pull up to my limit, I did it and the result is there. It is clear that the margin exists, but now it is up to me to get closer and closer to this limit, without making mistakes. The giant? It is almost always concomitant with slalom competitions, so the possibilities are few; however, I will continue to train in this discipline too ".
