Eight blues for "Podkoren", for those who will be the sixth and seventh giant of the World Cup season, before closing at the finals in Courchevel-Méribel.
During the weekend in Kranjska Gora, the 25 athletes who will have access to the last race in France will be decided, with Italy that, in addition to Luca De Aliprandini, fifth in the specialty ranking and fighting for the final podium ( 46 points behind Kristoffersen, third, 54 from Feller second), aims to insert Giovanni Borsotti, on the “border” with 24th place and Simon Maurberger (28th) and Alex Hofer (31st), currently excluded.
De Aliprandini who, after the Olympic disappointment, aims straight for the podium in the two Slovenian races (heats hours 9.30-12.30, both Saturday and Sunday) and will have at his side Riccardo Tonetti, Giovanni Borsotti, Alex Hofer, Hannes Zingerle, Simon Maurberger and, returning from the medals won at the jr world championships, Filippo Della Vite and Giovanni Franzoni.
Italy boasts four successes in the specialty in Kranjska Gora, the last of which is dated 1999 thanks to Patrick Holzer, preceded by the two statements of Alberto Tomba (1995 and 1990) and Sergio Bergamelli in 1992. The '' last podium dates back to 2009 with Max Blardone.
