Peter Fill and Roberto Nani, spring training on the way back to the top

They are two important cards for the Italian ski, athletes to be brought back to the top after the respective troubles related to the injuries and not only. Peter Fill and Roberto Nani are also working these days to get ahead with the work ahead of the next season, which is fundamental both for the winner of 2 downhill World Cups (and a combined one), and for the 30 year old from Valtellina coming out of the first 30 in the world in giant and not even summoned in the maximum circuit in the second part of the season. Let's start with Fill: at the age of 36, the aches and pains were felt during a vintage almost never started for Peter, late in preparation compared to his comrades towards the debut of Lake Louise, after the injury that imposed the stop following the Olympic Games 2018, and then conditioned by the "botta" of Beaver Creek, which led him to stop in January announcing the early conclusion of the season with a promise. "I will go on until the World Championships in Cortina 2021". A stimulus not bad for the South Tyrolean sprinter, who on Wednesday and Thursday has scheduled two training sessions in Val Passiria, after having worked in recent weeks also in Val d'Ultimo with Dominik Paris. As for Roberto Nani, instead, it was the snows of Kronplatz that hosted the work of the Livignasco in the last days, in a season that continued with various FIS races and national championships for the one who, for three seasons now, no longer seems able to find the level reached until 2015, when he touched the world podium in Beaver Creek and obtained in Solden, in October 2015, the best result in the Cup with a 4th place. In the 2018/2019 vintage, Nani played the first four CdM giants, without getting qualification for the 2nd round and then points between Beaver Creek, Val d''Isere, Alta Badia and Saalbach. Just in Austria, last December 19, the last race of the World Cup before diving back into the European Cup circuit, where however he did not find the right path.
