Pinturault trains in Soelden and indicates the favorite for the cup: "Kristoffersen on pole without the combined"

Interviewed by colleagues from Ski Chrono, one of the great favorites to conquer the crystal ball, he who was mocked in 2019/2020 by Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, the 29-year-old from Courchevel talked about the new season and its goals, with the dream of Absolute World Cup which remains the first ever. "Yes, I aim for the general, but it will be a winter with a thousand uncertainties and a positivity is enough to expel you from the games - the doubts of Pinturault - I think the FIS has done its best, but it is clear that there will be unknowns such as travel, I think about two days between Zagreb and Adelboden. The cancellation of the combined? I consider it an incongruity, given that we will do Soelden and Lech with the girls and I think it is impossible to avoid contacts between athletes of different disciplines, I am thinking of the same commitments of Markus Waldner and his staff ”. For the transalpine, however, the plans to go to the attack of the coppone will not change: “I will compete in all the slaloms and giants, as well as competing in the super-g most suitable for me. Certainly, I will not go downhill ”. And on the rivals for the crystal ball, Alexis points to a clear favorite: “Without the combined, discipline that has brought many points to Kilde and myself, I think Kristoffersen is the big favorite. There are more technical competitions, but this does not mean that other athletes will be cut off. It will be an open cup ”.
