Pinturault wants to try again for the dream Cup: ski test also on Easter in his Courchevel

At 28 years old, made on March 20th, Alexis Pinturault feels that the time has come to really get closer to the possibility of grabbing what has always defined the goal of his career, the absolute crystal ball. Of course, for many years it has been said that the current world champion of combined could play with Marcel Hirscher, while until now the closest to the throne of the Austrian champion was Henrik Kristoffersen; at least until the last season, in particular in the second part which saw Alexis achieve the best results, also in terms of continuity, in recent years, rising not by chance for the first time on the second step of the podium in the overall Cup of the Mondo, albeit distant, the beauty of 401 pt from Hirscher (previously, from 2014 to 2016, had obtained three third consecutive places). Pinturault is back on the slalom podium and he finally did it consistently, even though he didn't win (two seconds behind ... Hirscher, always him) and throwing away a sure world medal in Are, where he won anyway his first world title individually in combined and bronze in giant. It is also true that, apart from Bansko (with an adjoining specialty cup), in the Cup only the giant of the finals in Soldeu won, in the specialty where until the World Cup in Sankt Moritz 2017 seemed to be competitive at par (or almost) of the "black beast" from Annaberg. It is said that a new boot, only unofficially branded Rossignol, has allowed "Pintu" to change gear especially in slalom, certainly we are talking about an athlete found at the highest levels and with the right chance and the right age to try the coup General World Cup, without having to wait for Hirscher's withdrawal.
