Alpine Skiingmen's world cup
Towards the descent on Wednesday in Bormio, the fifth of the CdM season: the inaugural test (in which Feuz did not take part) sees Innerhofer set the best time on Crawford, but Kilde and Odermatt are also fast before getting up in the finale. "Domme" in the top ten just over a second behind, bad crash for Bailet.

Wednesday will be fourteen years since his first victory in the World Cup, achieved precisely in the descent on the "Stelvio", one of his magical slopes.
Christof Innerhofer decided to start the four days of Bormio on the right foot, finishing in front of everyone in the first of the two scheduled races (tomorrow the encore, always at 11.30 as on Wednesday in the race), in which Beat Feuz did not take part, at this point he could even give up the race, he who has never had a great feeling here and who aims to end his career between Wengen and Kitz in the best possible way.
Tough conditions, as per tradition, on a Stelvio that sees a lot of blue up front: there's no shortage of opponents, starting with James Crawford who finishes second at 26 cents from Inner, but he seemed very solid in every sector. Third is Matthias Meyer (+ 0”55), who in the two days in Valtellina will go in search of his first success of the season, then Clarey (a rocket up) at 64 cents, but also a nice Mattia Casse 5th at +0 ”97 and with a margin, if we think that the Piedmontese, back from his first podium in Val Gardena, had some difficulties in the area between Pian dell'Orso and Carcentina.
Besides the second Adrien Theaux, also for a post-Saslong confirmation (where he came close to the podium for an authentic sporting rebirth), and 7th at 1”17 from his teammate is Dominik Paris. It wasn't a negative test for Domme, considering the period, even if on "his" track he will have to polish, in particular between the Ciuk and the San Pietro jump, to be truly competitive for success as everyone expects.
He is followed by Kilde (+ 1”30), but be careful because the red bib of leader of the downhill was more than competitive up to the last intermediate, before getting up substantially in the final two bends, leaving Innerhofer and Crawford more by one second.
Similar speech for Marco Odermatt (here 2nd a year ago), at the end 1"91 away and immediately behind Baumann, Hemetsberger and Kriechmayr (even the world champion gave up completely in the final, but here he can fight for the podium and victory) .
Unfortunately, it was also the day of Matthieu Bailet's bad fall shortly after the start, for whom news is awaited: training was interrupted for about 35 minutes.
Good 12th time trial for Matteo Marsaglia, who started with the number 1 and 1"81 away from the top, ahead of Nicolò Molteni who finished at 3"92, waiting to see Schieder, Zazzi, Franzoni, Franzoso and the rookie Alliod.
