There will be only six standard-bearers of the Wunderteam tomorrow in the giant on Chuenisbargli: for the 24-year-old Tyrolean the forfeit is practically certain also for the super-g of Wengen.

The men's cup is holding its own, on the Covid theme, but today from Adelboden comes the news of a positivity within the Austrian team. This is Raphael Haaser, fresh from the first podium in the maximum circuit, with that fabulous 2nd place in the super-g of Bormio last December 29: the Tyrolean class' '97 should have participated in the giant on Saturday but, as he did know the OESV, there will not be (and clearly it is practically impossible to recover for the next race of his favorite discipline, with the super-g of Wengen, recovery of Bormio, already scheduled for 13 January) and so there will be only six athletes red and white at the gate of the Chuenisbargli.
Manuel Feller will go on the hunt for another podium, like Stefan Brennsteiner, while Marco Schwarz looks for some confidence and the team of coach Pircher will be completed by Patrick Feurstein (extraordinary 4th in the first giant on the Gran Risa), Dominik Raschner and Christian Borgnaes.
In slalom, eight elements for the Wunderteam (in difficulty in the first races between the narrow poles), with Manuel Feller and Marco Schwarz in the first sub-group of merit, Michael Matt, Fabio Gstrein, Christian Hirschbuehl, Dominik Raschner, Johannes Strolz and Marc Digruber .
