Razzoli immediately catches 8 for the Kitz slalom, Vinatzer with 12: Feller stopped by Covid

The startlist of the challenge on the Ganslern scheduled for Saturday (10.15 the 1st heat, at 13.45 the 2nd). There will be no Tyrolean, bib number 1 for Noel. The Reggiano and the Val Gardena lead the blue team with Moelgg and Gross called to the task to try to snatch an Olympic pass.

After the majestic descent of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, the great weekend in Kitzbuehel continues with the classic slalom on the splendid Ganslern, for a fifth 24-hour early specialty seasonal event (with the encore descent on the Streif for Sunday), compared to the program original, given the negative weather forecast just for tomorrow, when in any case the race will be brought home without problems. Start at 10.15 with the first heat (Russian tracing), at 13.45 the second (both live on Eurosport and Rai Sport), in this case with a design by Jacques Theolier, the Azzurri's coach aiming for another podium after that, historical, by Giuliano Razzoli last Sunday in Wengen. Right on the track where the Crusader broke six years ago, the week after in 2nd place which, up to five days ago, represented his last podium in CdM, the Olympic champion returns to the second sub-group and immediately draws a large number 8 to try again. Alex Vinatzer, on the other hand, had the number 12 in the lot for a first heat opened by Clément Noel, who won here in 2019 beating Hirscher, but who must change gear if he really wants to fight for the specialty classification, always commanded by Sebastian Foss -Solevaag that in Kitz will start with number 5. Between the two here are Zenhaeusern, Meillard and Schwarz, but the news of the eve is the absence of Manuel Feller, affected by Covid (confirmation arrived in the afternoon from the OESV) and in quarantine, with Schladming's other great classic almost certainly vanish. Pinturault and Kristoffersen will close the first sub-group, the latter returning from the sensational mistake of Wengen which cost him his first seasonal success in slalom, then after Razzoli we find Matt, Jakobsen, Yule (2nd in the specialty cup and in the square of honor last Sunday), with Vinatzer followed by Strasser, Aerni and Ryding, all potentially from the podium in the crazy slalom that we are seeing again this year. By the way, Lucas Braathen, who already raced an incredible 1st heat on the Ganslern in 2020, climbs from bib 31 of the Wengen company to 18 tomorrow, then here are the other five Italians registered. We are talking about Manni Moelgg, bib number 20 and called to level up again compared to the 13th of the last slalom to try to get an Olympic pass, however made very complicated by the blue situation at the level of the overall contingent, Stefano Gross with 26, Tommaso Sala ( always on points in the first four slalom) with 27, Simon Maurberger with 30 and Federico Liberatore with number 39 to seek the first qualification after returning to the maximum circuit in Wengen.
