A very tight first heat, under the blizzard of a Kitzbuehel slalom (the fifth of the World Cup season) that sees a lot of blue there in front, daydreaming towards the second, starting at 13.45, which will have the design as well as the head coach of Italslalom, Jacques Theolier.
Splendid Alex Vinatzer on the bumps of the Ganslern, with the Val Gardena in front of everyone (as in Badia in 2020, when he then closed fourth within a whisker of success) while giving a couple of tenths to Clément Noel in the short final plateau. The transalpine follows him with 8 cents to recover, while the red Foss-Solevaag bib is third just 9 from the leader.
Then there is the void, but still Italy with the confirmation of Giuliano Razzoli, now very solid and fourth with 73 cents to recover from his teammate, even if the Olympic champion will have to look back given the reduced margin on Ryding (5th at 81 cents, here he was second in 2017 behind Hirscher), Pinturault 6th at + 0 ”91 and Lucas Braathen, the Wengen winner, 7th at + 0” 98 with some extraordinary sequences.
Above the second Michael Matt, still a good 8th (considering his season) ahead of Jakobsen, Meillard and Schwarz, while Kristoffersen even risks qualification, currently from the top 20 zone with 1 ”68 behind.
