The Swiss sprinter, 2nd in Bormio and crashed today in the first training on the Lauberhorn, has a problem with his right foot which will be assessed in detail on Wednesday.

It had been the huge surprise of the second descent of Bormio, when a perfect test brought him to only 8 cents from Dominik Paris and from a sensational triumph over the Stelvio, in what was his first day of glory in the World Cup.
Just over two weeks later, Urs Kryenbuehl must shed bitter tears, as an injury remedied in the first round of home descent, the one scheduled for Saturday in Wengen, will force him to miss the great challenge on the Lauberhorn. The 25-year-old from the Canton of Schwyz, in fact, fell into today's training, suffering severe pain in his right foot after the impact; after the first exams at the Interlaken hospital, Kryenbuehl will be assessed in detail on Wednesday, with a specialist visit to the university clinic in Zurich to establish recovery times.
And it was certainly not a good day at the Swiss home, given that a young man from team C, Marco Kohler, engaged as a forerunner fell by remedying an injury to his left knee that seems serious enough, so much so that he was transported by helicopter. Also in this case, only in the next few hours will Swiss Ski give more precise indications on the extent of the damage.
