Thursday and Friday the first two races of 2022: Kastlunger and Della Vite to lead the national team, Giovanni Franzoni is still ahead of everyone in the general classification.

The men's European Cup restarts, with the third and fourth slalom of the season after the two events on Italian snow, given that in mid-December it was competed between the tight posts in Obereggen and Pozza di Fassa, with successes for Alexander Steen Olsen and a certain Clément Noel (on the “Aloch” in front of the Norwegian, who leads the specialty ranking).
Both are engaged today in the World Cup in Zagreb, a situation that will lead to many defections (with the slalom of the maximum circuit next Sunday in Adelboden) for the Thursday and Friday appointments in Berchtesgaden.
Tomorrow the first challenge (at 10 the 1st heat, at 13 the 2nd), in the Bavarian town so dear to the blue colors (and in a couple of days we will celebrate the 48th anniversary of that legendary giant from ... Avalanche), with an Italian national team of a good level, even if the big names are in fact involved in Croatia. Just think of Filippo Della Vite, recently winner of Valmeinier's FIS slalom, Tobias Kastlunger himself who was the best of the Azzurri in the first two specialty races of the continental circuit, but also Saccardi (fresh from his debut in CdM in Campiglio ), Liberatore, Vaccari. And in command of the general of the European Cup, waiting to find his races between giant and super-g, but also the first points in the World Cup, there is always Giovanni Franzoni.
