The fourth and final of the men's race in Aspen Finals, which will close permanently the 2016-17 World Cup, will be the Slalom.

Aspen is a town located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It is one of the most important as far as alpine skiing, so as to have hosted several races of the World Cup since 1968, and the edition of the World Cup of 1950, in which Zeno Colo was protagonist with gold medals in Downhill and Giant and silver in Slalom.
ASPEN PREVIOUS
In all, 6 of the Slalom World Cup played in the past in Aspen. No man has been able to excel for more than once, with Mario Matt, the third November 25, 2001, and first the next day, only one able to go up 2 times on the podium.
That of 25 November 2001, a race that will probably remain for a long time in the sport's annals. The victory, in fact, before his career went to Ivica Kostelic, fell with the start number 64. No one has ever managed to win a race for the World Cup starting with a higher starting number.
The mocked of that race was Giorgio Rocca, in turn the party back far enough (number 26) and again on the podium in almost three years from the third place in Kitzbühel. For Italy, podiums also in Aspen Slalom thanks to Gustav Thöni, the third March 14, 1976, and Fabio De Crignis third March 10, 1991 in the last race won by Rudolf Nierlich, whose life is shattered by a car accident two months later. Finally, to remember the already mentioned Olympic silver won by Zeno Colo in 1950 games.
BOWL OF SPECIALTIES 'SLALOM
The last race of the 2016-17 World Cup will only statistical significance. Marcel Hirscher has indeed already won his fourth cup of this specialty despite winning fewer races (2 to 5) Henrik Kristoffersen, whose inconsistency was nevertheless fatal.
The first two are already on ice, the only theoretical duel is that between Manfred Mölgg, Felix Neureuther and Alexander Khoroshilov for the third step of the podium specialties. Blue, winner in Zagreb, boasts 91 points of margin on the German and 95 in Russia, this means that just get in the top 15 to store a result all things considered prestigious.
I QUALIFIED TO SLALOM OF ASPEN
As known, the Finals can participate in only the first 25 of the ranking of the seasonal specialties in progress, the world champion, the champion of the world junior and all those who have gained at least 500 points in the overall standings of the World Cup. Therefore, this is a list of ALL the qualified, regardless of their status (injured or non-accustomed to this specialty logically not participate).
