The French slalom ace, who made his debut in the best of wide gates in the last race in Yuzawa-Naeba, explained the plan to his colleagues at Ski Chrono.

The first slalom of the 2020/21 World Cup so far ahead in the calendar, given that the first two tests will be those on the snow of the Gran Risa and 3Tre, between Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 December in Alta Badia and Madonna di Campiglio, bring some specialists rapid gates to revise their plans towards a season that will be compressed to say the least.
In reality, however, the giant project was already in the mind of Clément Noel, who last season had to revise the plan to make his debut immediately even among the wide doors in the maximum circuit, due to back problems suffered in the autumn. So the phenomenal 23-year-old transalpine decided to focus only on “his” slalom, postponing his first one to last February 22, in what has become the last giant played in CdM, in Yuzawa-Naeba. Nothing qualifies for the native of the Vosges that day in Japan, but a bit of accumulated experience and now a willingness to try again, after a smooth summer.
As Ski Chrono reveals, in fact, Noel is concretely thinking about lining up at the start of the two giants of Val d''Isère, scheduled for next 5-6 December; for a few days, the leader of the Equipe de France has been training with fellow slalomists in Sweden
