A very bitter Gran Risa for an Italian giant team who, out of nine athletes at the start, placed only one in the decisive heat, with Riccardo Tonetti able to pull off a decent performance in the 1st heat of the giant of the year, that of '' Alta Badia.
For the rest it was a real disaster, with no ifs and buts, with the leader Luca De Aliprandini immediately out and the others who, between too high exits and gaps, will not be in the restart set at 13.30 which will see Alexis Pinturault defend 26 hundredths of a margin on Filip Zubcic and 4 tenths on Marco Odermatt, but with the terrible youngsters from Norway, McGrath and Braathen, ready to scratch.
