Twenty-four hours after his first victory in the European Cup, the young Swiss repeats himself by beating his compatriot Josua Mettler by just 12 cents, who was already second behind him (by two tenths) after the first heat.
The podium is completed by another fine talent, the French Leo Anguenot in comeback from eleventh place to close 45 cents from Simonet and leave in 4th place one of the revelations of Zinal's two days, the Australian Harry Laidlaw who finishes in half a second. Tommaso Sala is 16 cents away from taking the second top 3 of his career in a giant on the continental circuit, but the Brianza, third halfway through the race 79 cents from Simonet, still runs a great race and is fifth, 61 cents from winner.
Behind him again Switzerland with Bissig and Fischbacher, sixth and seventh, while the second blue in the standings is Tobias Kastlunger, 13th after the eighth place in race-1 yesterday.
