The third and final Alpine men's combined of the season, scheduled for Friday as before the three races scheduled in Hinterstoder, will not be easy to take home, given the weather that is also raging on the Upper Austrian resort.
The "White" storm has already forced Markus Waldner to opt for a change of program, with the slalom being held at 10.00 as the first test, and the super-g at 13.30 as it will take time in the night to work on the track, according to what expected rainfall in the next few hours.
A crucial race for the general World Cup, opened by the great favorite Alexis Pinturault: bib number 1 for the Frenchman in slalom, on the track of his technician Fabien Munier (the super-g will be drawn instead by Raimund Plancker), followed by Murisier, Jansrud, Muffat-Jeandet, the cup leader Kilde, Mayer (winner of the last combined at Wengen right in front of Pinturault, on pole for the specialty cup) and the great blue hope that responds to the name of Riccardo Tonetti.
The Bolzano player, starting seventh, dreams of his first career podium after the 4th and 5th place of Bormio and Wengen. In the race only two other blues, Guglielmo Bosca with 32 and Florian Schieder with 43, but especially attention to the return of Marco Schwarz (n ° 14 in slalom) and above all Henrik Kristoffersen, to the second combined of his career.
The reversal of the heats will certainly not favor the Norwegian, forced to the bib 31 in slalom because of "the fault" of his situation in WCSL.
