A Levi goes ... 24 degrees below zero! First nationals at work and striking on the track for the two Cup slaloms

Ideal weather in the Finnish town beyond the Arctic circle, in view of the 23-24 November races.

Frost is back in Levi, what had been lacking in recent seasons when, thanks to the technique of snowfarming, the organizers managed to guarantee the two classic World Cup slalom scheduled on the "Levi Black". In the last hours the thermometer has reached an altitude of 24 degrees below zero, allowing an ideal preparation of the race track, which on Monday evening was crossed for the first time, given that various national teams are already ready to train; Already yesterday the Austrian girls are in Levi, led by the long-awaited Katharina Gallhuber, ready to return to the race after losing almost entirely last season, due to the injury to the Crusader and the meniscus of the right knee. We will also see Lina Nina Haver-Loeseth, who trained in Kabdalis, Sweden, before moving to Finland, while Mikaela Shiffrin and Petra Vlhova are still at home, with this last one intensely prepared to level physical in Milan for the whole last week, before returning home for a few days. Good news also comes from Wendy Holdener: the Swiss, who suffered a broken elbow a week ago, is recovering with a lot of physiotherapeutic work (and above all having averted surgery) and should be back on track within a few days.
