Alexis Pinturault took second win of the season in the giant Val d' 'Isere. The twenty-five of Moûtiers has administered the margin of advantage gained in the first round giving the France's third consecutive win in the giant.

The Frenchman turned in a second run extremely clean attacking only where he could do so without taking special risks, reaching the finish line with almost half of the advantage possessed against dell''ormai historic rival Marcel Hirscher. With this success the 'eighth in giant Pinturault reaches 17 victories in the World Cup, taking a single length by Jean Claude Killy French is currently the most successful ever in the White Circus.
Second place for Marcel Hirscher, who continues the curse of success in giant slalom this season. The Face de Bellevarde technique has allowed Henrik Kristoffersen to find the right confidence on skis allowing him to return to playing a leading role after a disappointing start to the season. The Norwegian who suffered and not just the extra-sporting issues related to the sponsorship Red Bull, finally came back to express themselves on the levels of last year getting his first podium of the season.
Completing the top five German Felix Neureuther and a depressed Stefan Luitz demoted from second to fifth place. The great protagonist of the day was still the Canadian Erik Reid Party with bib number 50 and who finished in eighth place.

The men's World Cup next weekend he moved to Italy. In five days are two quick test program in Val Gardena (super g and downhill) and both giants in Alta Badia the first with the traditional format the second in parallel.
