Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup: it's a real blue triumph with the double goals from Castlunger and Colturi

The international review ended today in Folgaria: the young Italsci won six titles out of eight, in addition to the team event. And behind Baldo, in the men's U16 giant it is all blue poker. Romy Renz, daughter of Martina Ertl, instead triumphs in the U14 slalom.

The Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup 2021 ends in the name of Italy, with six victories in eight races and last Wednesday's triumph in the team event. After the trio of successes conquered on Friday, the blue team repeated itself on the closing day, which celebrated the young talent of the daughter of art Lara Colturi and the South Tyrolean David Castlunger, able to sign a double each in the phase international event organized by the committee chaired by Fabrizio Gennari. To bring the third gold to Italy, the sixth overall in the two days of competitions, was the Treviso Ski Club Cortina, Edoardo Baldo, winner of the under 16 male giant, who saw the azzurrini sign a splendid poker: at Baldo's shoulders were classified, in order, by the South Tyrolean Jakob Franzelin (Ski Club Monte San Pietro), the Aosta Valley Federico Vierin and the Trentino Sebastiano Zorzi. Francine Rollet (Chamolé Ski Team), silver in the giant Allieve, the South Tyrolean Nadine Trocker (silver in the under 14 slalom) and the Pisan of Cimone Ski Team Andrea Passino, second in the race between the narrow poles reserved to the guys. The only one able to break Italian domination on the last day of competition was another daughter of art, the German Romy Renz, welcomed in the parterre by her mother Martina Ertl. The queen of the 2021 edition of the Folgaria “mondialino”, however, was Lara Colturi, daughter of the super-g Olympic champion in Salt Lake City 2002, Daniela Ceccarelli. Even the latter, like Ertl, was present in the parterre and was able to toast the primacy signed by the promising Lara: the Piedmontese, in fact, was the only one in the history of the event to be able to win in the same edition both the two matches of the national selections and the two of the international stage. After winning the under-16 slalom, Lara repeated herself between the giant's wide gates traced on the Salizzona track, inflicting a 1 "64 gap to the Aosta Valley Francine Rollet, second at the end of the two heats in front of the Polish Magdalena Brando, followed in fourth place by Tatum Bieler (Sc Gressoney). Italy then signed a double in the under 14 men's slalom, played in double heat on the slope of the competitive track. The winner's trophy went to the South Tyrolean from La Villa, David Castlunger, who repeated the victory in the giant the previous day. The bishop of Ski Team Alta Badia took advantage of the exit in the second heat of the mid-race leader, the Croatian Ziggy Vrdoljak, and went to take another gold, clearly first with a 2 ”29 advantage over the Pisan Cimone Ski Team, Andrea Passino silver medal. He chewed bitterly the Trentino Sporting Club Campiglio, Luca Loranzi, third in the middle of the race and then out in the decisive heat while he was running for a medal. To occupy the last step of the podium was the Polish Kazimierz Ziolkowski. Italy-Germany challenge, as in the final of the team event three days ago, in the women's under 14 tight goalpost test. The winner, scoring the best time in both heats, was precisely Romy Renz, who preceded by 1 ”31 the winner of the giant on Friday, Nadine Trocker, South Tyrolean of the Seiser Alm Ski Team. Third, at 1 ”64, was the other German Rosa Anna Schwaiger, followed in fourth place by Anna Trocker (sister of Nadine) and in fifth by Hanna Hofer (Sarentino). Italy A prevailed in the ranking by nations, preceding Germany and Italy B. The blue team was promoted with flying colors, like the organizing committee, which fielded the experience and the professionalism gained over many years to ensure the smooth running of the event, in a period made particularly difficult by the pandemic.
