We are approaching the "Speed Opening" on the Matterhorn with confidence: cannons at work to create the bottom of the track

On 29-30 October with the two men's descents and on 5-6 November with the women's ones, the first speed races of the 2022/23 World Cup: this is how the "Gran Becca" is being set up.

The work on the "Gran Becca", the name of the track that will give life to the "Speed Opening" in Zermatt / Cervinia, continues at a fast pace, the highly anticipated appointment that will follow the opening of the World Cup in Soelden, for the first cross-border competitions in the history of the white circus. On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October the two men's descents are scheduled, the following weekend (5-6 November) the women's ones; from Cervinia and Zermatt, the cannons are in operation to create the bottom of the brand new track which, less than a month after the appointment, despite the complicated summer of the glaciers, is in good condition, with the works that are finally proceeding shipped thanks to the lowering of temperatures of the last two weeks.
