The FISI has formalized the composition of the "Observed" alpine skiing teams, ie those born between 2001 and 2004 included in the federal staff for the next competitive season.
The total number of athletes is 42, with 20 girls and 22 boys, divided between technical disciplines and speed. "The basic concept of the project is to give continuity to the monitoring by the Federation of the best boys in the young and aspiring categories - explains the youth technical director of Italian skiing, Massimo Carca - and at the same time allow them to have a comparison during the summer-autumn period to raise the respective technical level.
For the FISI it is important to know their characteristics at 360 °, so we will insist on proposing an athletic meeting at the Olympic Training Center in Formia, adding a few days to the program of the past years to reach up to two weeks, through a series of postural tests. to broaden our knowledge base. On the snow we will propose three ski sessions for a total of fifteen days for both the techniques and the fast, to be divided into three distinct periods. Preparation will begin in mid-July and will end around 10 December.
Naturally, it is the Federation's objective to continue to work closely alongside the base, further tightening the links of collaboration with regional committees, companies and military sports groups ”.
Going into the specifics of the composition of the teams, at the female level the group of the "Observed Speed 1" is composed of a quartet with Vicky Bernardi, Valentina Savorgnani, Nadia Fenini and Laura Sellemond, the group 2 of the speed instead counts on Carlotta De Leonardis, Melissa Astegiano, Greta Angelini, Matilde Lorenzi, Elisa Maria Negri, Sofia Vadagnini and Aurora Zavattarelli. Michelle Valentini is the only athlete of the “Observe techniques 1” team, while in the second there is Maria Sole Antonini, Martina Marangon, Ludovica Vittoria Druetto, Emilia Mondinelli, Cecilia Pizzinato, Giulia Valleriani, Ambra Pomare and Emma Wieser.
The men's teams: "Observed Speed 1" with Enrico Giacomelli, Gianmaria Illariuzzi, Federico Scussel and Maximilian Ranzi, while Gabriele Sartori and Davide Leonardo Seppi are the two athletes observed for the "techniques 1" group. The “Speed 2 Observed”: Jacopo Luigi Antonioli, Alberto Claudani, Gregorio Bernardi, Gabriel Masneri, Max Perathoner, Filippo Sambugaro and Gabriel Stauder.
Finally, the nine elements of the “Observed techniques 2” team: Fabio Allasina, Andrea Bertoldini, Leonardo Clivio, Diego Bucciardini, Gian Marco Paci, Stefano Pizzato, Leonardo Rigamonti, Federico Romele and Francesco Riccardo Zucchini.
