The convocations of the 15 athletes who will be competing in Soelden, for the opening of the World Cup next weekend, are official. Among the 9 men competing on Sunday, there is also the name of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde who has dissolved his reserves and will be at the starting gate, despite a clearly not ideal preparation for returning from the crash to the crusader last January.
Alongside the winner of the CdM 2019/2020, there will also be the two terrible class 2000 of the norge school, also veterans of their respective knee problems remedied on that day in early January in the first giant of Adelboden; Lucas Braathen, who won in Soelden 12 months ago, amazing the world (but it was well known that he already had the shot in the barrel ...), and Atle Lie McGrath will return to the race on the Rettenbach, with Henrik Kristoffersen, who he has never loved the slope of the Oetztal, which clearly represents one of the many points of a very competitive team, although perhaps not ready immediately to fight for the victory.
At the start we will also see the veteran Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen, Rasmus Windingstad, Timon Haugan, Fabian Wilkens Solheim and the 2001 class Alexander Steen Olsen, already super in the last European Cup season and seen at his debut in CdM in Bansko and Kranjska Gora.
Six girls are chosen for the opening: Ragnhild Mowinckel and Mina Fuerst Holtmann will try to get back on top, just out of the top 15 of the specialty WCSL, together with Maria Tviberg, Kristin Lysdahl and Thea Louise Stjernesund, with the winner of the European Cup, Mars Monsen, looking for a good result.
