At AOC, there were four athletes from the Osservati group of the national alpine ski teams that the youth technical director Massimo Carca called for the meeting which ended on the Stelvio glacier on Wednesday 30 September. The training was organized in collaboration with the FISI regional committees and, for the Western Alps, there were Martina Banchi (Golden Team Ceccarelli), Lorenzo Thomas Bini (Ski Team Cesana), Marco Abbruzzese (Fiamme Oro Moena) and Leonardo Rigamonti (Sansicario Cesana). Among the technicians who supported Massimo Carca, the coach of the men's team of the AOC Committee, Marco Gullino, who commented on the training on the glacier: "The work has been profitable for all our athletes, both for the Observed and for those who participated in the meeting of the Committee's team, which was also attended by Davide Damanti and Carlo Cordone, who returned to the track after the injuries that had stopped them last season ”. In addition to Damanti and Cordone, Mattia Borgogno (Colomion), Corrado Barbera (Ski College Limone), Luigi Graziano (Equipe Limone), Gregorio Bernardi (Sestriere) trained with the AOC team at the Stelvio. The athletes summoned for training under the guidance of technicians Alberto Platinetti and Alessandro Roberto were instead Maria Sole Antonini (Varallo), Gaia Blangero (Equipe Limone), Vittoria Castellano (Sauze d''Oulx), Matilde Lorenzi (Sestriere), Emilia Mondinelli (Sansicario Cesana), Martina Sacchi (Golden Team Ceccarelli) and Chiara Teroni (Mondolè Ski Team). “Bad weather affected our work only on the first day - comments Platinetti - Then we took advantage of both the morning and afternoon hours, managing to carry out tests in super-g. I am especially happy for the girls of 2004 who have just joined the team: they have integrated well and are eager to improve. From 12 to 17 October we will work in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, also to change the type of tracks and slopes ". SARACCO IN THE CARABINIERI From Monday 28 September, Edoardo Saracco, an athlete born in 2003 and part of the Limone Team, the FISI Western Alps Committee and the Osservati group of the National team, was officially enrolled in the Carabinieri. Edoardo, fresh from a season culminating in the bronze medal in the slalom of the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, will compete from now on for the Carabinieri Sports Center in Selva Gardena. At the end of his first season in the Aspirants category, the Limonese athlete has the best FIS score among alpine skiers born in 2003: 44.65 points in slalom, 49.98 in giant. In the letter with which he officially communicated the enrollment of Edoardo to the Limone Team and the Western Alps Committee, the commander of the Carabinieri Sports Center, Major Marshal Davide Carrara, thanked the Limone club and the Committee "for the work done in all these years, hoping to be able to continue, in collaboration with the Federation, to further raise the technical skills of your athlete, aimed at achieving ever more important sporting goals ”.
