Flavio Roda opens the FISI season in Milan and says he is worried about the Games: "We need fewer words and more facts"

The heart of Milan opens the FISI season and Flavio Roda does not hide confidence for the expected sporting results, after an already extraordinary year like the past, but also a bit of concern on the approach to the big event that Italy of winter sports awaits, with the Milan-Cortina Games 2026. We do not yet know how many investments will be put in place by the Government, but it is certain that the bobsleigh and skeleton tracks will have to be redone in Cortina and more than 40 million will be required â€. The federation launched upcoming and high quality events, from the world biathlon championships in Anterselva, in February 2020, to the World Cup ski finals in Cortina the following month, up to the World Championships in Cortina itself. "We have worked with great attention to young people - Roda has reached - to give young people more opportunities to show off. We have increased the number of technicians, with a special focus on some disciplines, with more resources for alpine skiing and creating a group of excellence with Goggia and Brignone, in order to offer maximum support, as well as for sprinters where the three veterans (Paris, Innerhofer and Fill) we joined a young man like Emanuele Buzzi. In the technical disciplines we have created two subgroups to get the right replacement. We have found and continue to look for new resources, the Federation is experiencing a good moment, a positive trend that has brought great attention and visibility ". The two new federal partners were officially presented: Livigno, training site and soon federal center for snowboarding and freestyle, and RTL 102.5, the most listened to radio in Italy that becomes FISI media partner and will live in particular the season of Sofia Goggia with a particular app. Sharp, Alpine's technological ski technology partner, and Dicofarm, a medical partner, also join the federal panel: "They are very important inputs for the FISI, and are added to the historical sponsors who have been following us for some time. With everyone we share the values of sport and a great passion, and it is a fundamental fact. Thanks also to them we managed to invest around 26 million euros in the competition for the coming season and to improve the overall image of the Federation ". Roda then explained the objective of the TalenTeam, the new project that FISI has put in place to create a new generation of high-level athletes: "In the coming years we want to invest as much in them as they are our future. The aim of the project is to no longer have dark years in our disciplines, we always want to stay at the top thanks to our athletes. Also in perspective, the 2026 Olympics â€. In conclusion, MyFISI was also presented, the new federal app that will be officially launched on October 31st, during the Skipass Fair in Modena.
