France for Soelden is a team capable of aiming for the maximum goal, both for the female giant on Saturday and for the men's test the following day, considering the potential of the “cockerels”.
The pink quintet counts on a clear captain, that Tessa Worley who won over Rettenbach in 2018 and seems to have approached her debut in very good conditions. With the bi world champion of specialties there will be the great return to the World Cup of Clara Direz, who has not competed since February 2020 in Kranjska Gora, given that the thrombosis that struck her in the following September forced the winner of the parallel giant of Sestriere to skip the entire last season.
Coralie Frasse-Sombet, Doriane Escane and Camille Cerutti complete the team.
Six transalpine men will compete, led by the duo made up of Alexis Pinturault and Mathieu Faivre, respectively winner of the last specialty CdM and reigning world champion, as well as first and second in Soelden in the 2019 edition. The young Hilma Loevblom and especially the 2002 class, Hanna Aronsson Elfman who did so much well in the last European Cup, will look for the pass for the 2nd heat. The same goal of the only two men competing next Sunday, the expert Mattias Roenngren and the rookie Tobias Windingstad.
