The various selections for the weekend of technical competitions between Slovenia and Austria: the Swiss and French squadrons are betting very strongly on the slalom on Saturday and Sunday in the Salzburg area.

Time for technical competitions in the World Cup, with a weekend entirely dedicated to the giant as regards the girls, committed on Saturday and Sunday on the "Podkoren" of Kranjska Gora, and two other slaloms at the men's level, with the return of men to Flachau after the ballet of cancellations and transfers.
Observing the official selections announced by the various nations, we note how Germany will field only one gigantist in Slovenia, with Andrea Filser chasing at least a few points, while the ambitions of the Germans will be very different for the slalom in Salzburg with Linus Strasser, fresh from two consecutive podiums and second in the specialty ranking behind Marco Schwarz, leading the team that will also count on Holzmann, Himmelsbach, Ketterer, Tremmel and Rauchfuss.
Switzerland presents two squadrons for Kranjska Gora, with Gisin chasing the first podium also in giant and Holdener who, on this track, last February took home his second and last top 3 among the wide doors; in Flachau there will be eight rossocrociati with the desire to regain a weight result after the partial disappointment of the home race in Adelboden (and having lost the chance to compete in Wengen), with Yule (still dry of podiums), Zenhaeusern, Meillard , Nef, Simonet, Aerni, Rochat and Noel Von Gruenigen on the track.
France will field in the Slovenian giants, alongside Tessa Worley, also Coralie Frasse-Sombet and Doriane Escané, while there will be six slalomists with the podium still missing in the transalpine team led by Clément Noel, who collapsed in the 2nd heat both in Zagreb and last Sunday on Chuenisbargli, with the cup leader Alexis Pinturault, a Victor Muffat-Jeandet called to realize the good things done so far and the veterans Lizeroux and Grange, together with the young Letitre, to complete the selection.
At home in Sweden, with Kristoffer Jakobsen looking for the great result, considering the state of form, in the slalom of Flachau, the focus will be on Sara Hector, spearhead for the giants on Podkoren where the 28-year-old from Sandviken will go in search of the second podium seasonal after the one won in the first round of Courchevel; also Sara Rask, who in the slalom in Flachau brought home the first points result in the World Cup, Hilma Loevblom and the "new sprinter" Estelle Alphand, who will then compete in the Crans-Montana triptych next week .
