The Stelvio is working hard, despite the unfavorable weather, especially on Thursday, for the Italian national teams that have finally started approaching the 2020/21 vintage since last Tuesday. Rulfi also addresses the topic of programming, made even more difficult by the cancellation of the trip to Argentina: “We will be forced to change the training weeks but above all to be flexible, based on what will be available - he explains again - The basic technique will be similar for all groups, the intention could be to head towards Zermatt in August to go downhill and then move on to Saas-Fee with more giant and slalom. This year we had to do without having particular athletic references because of the lockdown, but it is not an absolute necessity. Our planning is on a multi-year basis, a job that starts from the past years: we will reach the best shape along the way ". Waiting to have the final picture of the events of the next World Cup, there are a couple of alternatives on the calendar level but Rulfi does not seem to worry about it. “We will adhere even more to this dancing calendar. We will know our future in late September, in case we had to move to plan B (with the sacrifice of the North American trip in the first place) there would be more time to align with other nations, if instead it will be the usual calendar we will perhaps reach the limit and we could meet some difficulties especially in autumn. But even in this case there would be plenty of time to recover.
