Flavio Roda's choices were clear and decisive, in view of such a particular 2020/21 season. From the more evident one, in consultation with all the parties involved starting from the Cortina 2021 and CONI Foundation, to propose the transfer of the world championships to March 2022, to those of a technical nature since, as is known, those roles are number 1 of FISI knows them well and actively participates in every type of strategy. In the case of the giant, for example, the absences of Nani, Ballerin and Sorio are noticeable, also linked to a question of identity card. “Be careful though, because the doors are also open for athletes who will only work with sports groups. We could also put them on the team this season, "said Roda opening a door. In the meantime, from 1st June the Stelvio will begin, even if the calls have not yet been made official to all the groups and it will start a few days later for many athletes, after finishing that Coronavirus prevention protocol which will then also be applied to the young people who, later on, will climb the glacier. In this regard, it is a matter of days to present also the figure of the Covid manager, which the FISI will use to manage in the coming difficult months any type of situation related to the protection of athletes in terms of health, in consultation with the federal medical commission.
