These are the home races for Switzerland and France, the first of the season between Sankt Moritz and Val d''Isère.
For the two women's super-gs on Saturday and next Sunday in the Engadine, nine Red Cross athletes have been called up and obviously led by Lara Gut-Behrami, perhaps the main favorite to seek success; the Ticinese won twice in Sankt Moritz, in 2015 in downhill and, precisely for her first success in the World Cup at the age of 17, on 20 December 2008 in super-g. It would be history to go back to winning in that bitter location also due to the knee injury suffered during the 2017 World Cup, almost 13 years later ...

Team France that will propose all its aces for the weekend of men's technical disciplines in Val d''Isère: Alexis Pinturault aims for his fifth victory on the Face de Bellevarde, already tamed twice in giant and two in slalom, with Mathieu Faivre (winner in the Critérium de la Première Neige, but on the Oreiller-Killy for his first CdM hurray), Victor Muffat-Jeandet, Thibaut Favrot, Cyprien Sarrazin and Clément Noel to join him for the giant on Saturday.
Pinturault who, together with Noel and Muffat-Jeandet, will then compete on Sunday in the first slalom of the season, with Theo Letitre and another standard bearer to be defined for the transalpine quintet.
Sweden's call-ups for the next cup weekend are also official: three women competing in Sankt Moritz, with Estelle Alphand, Jonna Luthman and Lisa Hoernblad, two men for Val d''Isère with Mattias Roennofferen in giant and Kristoffer Jakobsen for the slalom.
