At a time when the reopening date of the ski lifts seems to be moving away and in which there is already a great overlap in the calendars due to the continuous and inevitable postponements, the organizers of the Memorial Fosson have decided not to hinder the activities and the eventual resumption of the regional and provincial competitions of the Committees and to "free" the date of January (from 12 to 14). After numerous reflections and discussions with various sports clubs, the alpine skiing team event, which opened the Children's season for ten years, is then postponed further to the end of the season. The Aosta ski club has identified the period from 9 to 11 April 2021 to save the event and avoid cancellation, meeting the will of the clubs and the need to have a national comparison even for those athletes who without qualification for the Italian Championships , Alpe Cimbra and Trofeo Pinocchio would end the competitive season well in advance. Massimo Raffaelli, Aosta ski club president: "We don't necessarily have to play this event, but in a season in which the calendars have already been revolutionized and in all likelihood will undergo other major upheavals, we felt the need to include an event in April with the best Italian athletes and with the Boys and Students who do not qualify for national events due to the limited contingents. We opened a discussion with several ski clubs close to us and shared the common will to carry on the activity until after Easter ”. Race ski magazine co-organizers: “The Fosson Memorial is an event born with a particular format and spirit, it is not just a competitive competition. In the hope that the health situation will improve, we believe the idea of moving it to April is interesting, a period in which it may even be easier to insert a speed test that would be formative for the young people who represent our future ".
