Eight days after surgery in Milan, Brignone continues her hard work. And she will be in Trento with the Italian stars

It has been eight days since Federica Brignone underwent surgery at La Madonnina clinic in Milan to have the plate and screws removed from her left tibia, almost a year and a half after the dramatic accident in the second run of the giant slalom at the Italian Championships in Alpe Lusia.

She is undergoing physiotherapy at home in this very early phase, with the possibility that the 4–6-week break before returning to full activity and making her first real approach to the snow this season—after only one day of testing on July 30 in Cervinia—could allow the two-time Olympic champion to return to the slopes by early October.

Who knows, perhaps immediately after “Il Festival dello Sport” organized by Gazzetta, which has once again invited the La Salle tiger for the next edition, scheduled to take place again in Trento from October 1 to 4; Fede’s presence at one of the events within the festival has been officially confirmed, along with that of other stars of the snow—and not only Italian ones.

Among them is Olympic giant slalom champion Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, as well as Sofia Goggia, Dominik Paris and Giovanni Franzoni, all three of whom will have just returned from training in Chile. In speed skiing, there will be the undisputed dominant force in the discipline, Valentina Greggio, who, after winning the World Cup and world title again, even took the opportunity in April to improve her own world record.

And looking ahead to the Milano Cortina 2026 Games, there will be Giacomo “Jack” Bertagnolli, who won gold again last March to make history in the Paralympic movement.
