An operational meeting to establish the necessary protocols to guarantee the three race weekends in Val d''Isère, for the classic appointment with the Critérium de la Première Neige scheduled over several stages in this very special 2020/21 World Cup, but also with the same organizers of the Courchevel and Chamonix tests.
On Monday in Albertville, as planned, SBB met with local committees and authorities to fix the key points: the FIS will officially confirm the races in Val d''Isère (5-6 December the two male giants, 12-13 downhill and super-g always for men on the Oreiller-Killy and from the 18th to the 20th of the month the triptych of women's races, with two descents and a super-g) only on 13 November, but if there will be no changes in the rules issued by the the transalpine government, which has established a national lockdown until next December 1, will go ahead regularly.
As Michel Vion, number 1 of the French Federation had announced in recent days, they will be competitions behind closed doors and even without guests. Confirmation to “Ski Chrono” after yesterday's meeting, while for the tests of the following weeks between the European Cup and FIS races, it will be decided only after 1 December.
