Alpine Skiingworld Cup
The World Cup ready to land in North America: the blue jet men headed for Lake Louise, even the women ready to leave Copper Mountain.
Sunday 24 November 2019 4 minutes reading time
Soelden and Levi have represented, as by now tradition, two openings of their own, dedicated to giant and slalom.
The real World Cup will come alive in the next two weekends, which include the beauty of ten races (5 female and as many male) divided between Canada and the United States.
November 30-December 1 with giant and women's slalom in Killington, Vermont (scheduled runs, for both races, at 3.45pm and at 7.00pm Italian time), and on the same days downhill and super-men at Lake Louise (always at at 8.15 pm).
The following week, the white circus in ... pink will move right into the Canadian town for two descents (6-7 December) and the super-g on Sunday 8, while the boys will go to Beaver Creek for another triptych, with super-g on Friday 6, descent on Saturday 7 and giant to close, still on the "Birds of Prey".
Make yourself comfortable on the sofa, also because the Azzurri promise to begin to "unclog" ...
DIRECT MEN IN CANADA
Over two weeks of training ended with the blue jet men at Copper Mountain as protagonists. Ideal working conditions in the beautiful town of Colorado, with the only hitch linked to the accident occurred to Matteo Marsaglia, who will then skip Lake Louise to return to Beaver Creek, exactly like Christof Innerhofer. For the two fast races in the state of Alberta, there will be only five guys from Alberto Ghidoni in the race, with Dominik Paris at the "guide" along with Peter Fill, Emanuele Buzzi, Mattia Casse and Federico Simoni. First test scheduled for Wednesday 27th.
WOMEN FROM ... GIANT
So much work in giant, in the last hours, for the blue group of Gianluca Rulfi on the snows of Colorado. Even Goggia and companions, in fact, are finishing the gathering of Copper Mountain, before moving towards Killington for the technical competitions of the next weekend. There will be, as we know, Roberta Melesi forced to return to Italy just today, due to the bad speed fall caused by a head injury and above all a knee problem that will be evaluated in detail in Milan. Brignone, Bassino, Goggia and Marsaglia (while Elena Curtoni and the Delago sisters will stay for a few more days in Copper Mountain and then fly to Lake Louise) will be joined in Vermont by the slalomist colleagues who have come from the Levi trial.
