Now it's official: the two free descents valid for the men's European Cup, originally scheduled in Tarvisio on the Di Prampero slope, will be recovered in Sella Nevea on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 January.

The clearance arrived this morning following the positive snow control carried out by the technicians of the International Federation who, after having inspected the length and breadth of the entire race track, promoted the Canin Agonistica with full marks.
A promotion that fully repays the enormous work effort made by the organizers of the US Camporosso who, after the rejection of Di Prampero's "snow control" which took place on 31 December last, in just a few days immediately set about finding a valid alternative in order to keep the European Cup races in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
"We are very satisfied to see that the FIS has appreciated our efforts - commented the President of the US Camporosso Damiano Matiz - I want to thank the men of PromoTurismoFVG again for how they managed to prepare the track in the best possible way, guaranteeing those conditions of safety and uniformity of the snowpack which are fundamental requisites for downhill races. Special thanks also go to all our associates and to the numerous volunteers who, despite the change of location, still wanted to give us their contribution. Now we just have to welcome the athletes for the timed trials scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday and then enjoy the races."
Apart from the change of location for the competitions, both the original program and the location of the competition office, also located in Camporosso, remain unchanged, given that all the main teams will be housed in the Tarvisio area.
The four days of the European Cup in Sella Nevea will therefore open with the two days of timed trials scheduled for 11.00 on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 January, while the two races valid for the men's European circuit will take place at 11.00 on Thursday 12 and Friday January 13th.
The fourth edition of Food For Skiers will also be held on Tuesday 10 January at 19.00 at the Rio Argento restaurant in Ugovizza, an evening dedicated to the team leaders of each individual nation participating in the European Cup races and to the authorities, organized by the US Camporosso in collaboration with the food area of PromoTurismoFVG which aims to promote the food and wine heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia and which this year will present a big surprise that will only be revealed in the next few days...
Finally, the Sella Nevea races will be promoted within the "Icarus Ultra" television program which is broadcast on the SkySport channels and free-to-air on Cielo, and on Neveitalia.it, the reference website in Italy as regards winter sports and snow.
