Filippo Della Vite dominated the FIS giant of Santa Caterina Valfurva, valid for the Italian Youth Championship. A tricolor, that of the 2001 Bergamo class under the Fiamme Oro, which contains the super season of one of the talents already reached the highest levels, with the debut in the World Cup followed by the first points with the amazing 16th place in Bansko.
Della Vite set the best time in both heats and won the Young Championship with a time of 2''10 ”59, ahead of Lorenzo Bini (18 years old from Ski Team Cesana), winner of the Italian GP stage by 71 cents. Young people and among the top 3 of the national circuit classification, when only the slalom on Wednesday is missing to close the season.
Third place overall for Pietro Canzio (Fiamme Oro), who, however, does not fall into the Young category as he is 23 years old, while with the fourth he climbs on the third step of the podium of the Young Championship Edoardo Saracco (Carabinieri), 2 ”03 behind Della Vite. Saracco also takes second place in the Italian Youth GP, while Gianlorenzo Di Paolo, 20 years old today, bearer of the Fiamme Gialle, is third in the special classification.
Also in Santa Caterina Valfurva, yesterday, the Italian Grand Prix had experienced an important day on the "Deborah Compagnoni", with a men's super-g which, thanks to the third place obtained in the final race of the calendar won by Matteo Franzoso on Nicolò Molteni, delivered to the Friulian Luca Taranzano (registered for the CAI Monte Lussari Ski) the ranking reserved for the senior category with 723 points, ahead of Matteo Canins with 709 and Federico Paini with 600, thus guaranteeing entry into the national team in the next season.
Taranzano imposed himself in the day ranking of the circuit in front of Tobias Knollseisen (fifth) and Benjamin Jacques Alliod (sixth), while the young category (reserved for those born between 2000 and 2004) recorded the success of Alliod himself in front of Giacomo Dalmasso (eleventh) and Lorenzo Ciolina (eighteenth). A women's super-g was also staged on the same track, won by Asja Zenere over Vittoria Cappellini and Elisa Schranzhofer. In the youth ranking, the success of the day went to Cappellini on Schranzhofer and Vicky Bernardi (tenth in the order of arrival), in the aspiring one (born in 2003 and 2004) Carlotta Leonardis (fourteenth) won against Beatrice Sola (sixteenth) and Aurora Zavatarelli (eighteenth).
