A few days after the World Cup opening on Rettenbach, the Alto Adige glacier is hosting many champions expected next weekend for the two giants in Austria.

It is the last finish, on a very tough track like the “Leo Gurschler” which, in its heart, looks so much like the central wall of the Rettenbach. Saturday and Sunday the cup start with the two giants of Soelden and here is that the Val Senales represents the top to prepare, not only as regards the blues: together with Goggia, De Aliprandini & Co. (waiting to know who will replace Laura Pirovano in the women's giant), already at high altitude since yesterday directly from the work done in the competition location between Thursday and last Saturday, and committed until Wednesday before returning to Soelden itself, here are many stars of other national teams.
Austria is at home, collaborating with the FISI in the Senales project for years, and Katharina Liensberger already appeared in excellent condition and confident even among the wide doors. Then there are Mathieu Faivre and Tessa Worley, spearheads of a France that wants to start strong, but also Aleksander Aamodt Kilde who needs to put miles in his legs. As reported by the Norwegian portal Nettavisen, the winner of the 2019/2020 cup has in fact lost a few days of training due to a cold that has slowed down a preparation already conditioned, obviously, by the return after injury to the Crusader last January.
Hence, AAK has not yet completely dissolved the reservations on its presence in Soelden, wanting to compete on the Rettenbach only if competitive for a good result. The snows of Val Senales will give him the latest answers.
