A month at the world championships in Cortina: the "talent" that will involve the Italian ski clubs is born

Rai 2 will co-produce and broadcast a nine-episode TV program, "Campioni di Domani", to accompany the great world championship event.

One month at the world championships in Cortina, opened on 7 February from the opening ceremony of the appointment of the year for alpine skiing, and many initiatives related to the world championship event are born. The president of the FISI, Flavio Roda, announced a decidedly interesting one; Rai 2 will co-produce and broadcast a television program of the "talent" genre, over 9 episodes, which will be broadcast on weekdays, from 9 to 19 February, at 5.30 pm, coinciding precisely with the days of the World Cup . Each episode will last approximately 30 minutes and on holidays there will be some live links with other broadcasts (for example, "Quelli che il Calcio"), in order to facilitate both communication about the World Ski Championships and the program itself. The talent “Campioni di Domani” will also be available on Rai Play and will be preceded by a promotional launch campaign. The object will be the sports competition, especially skiing and the mountains, the setting in which viewers will be able to learn not only the athletic abilities of the young competitors, but also their faces and their stories, with a particular focus on motivations. which lead them to face the sacrifices necessary to become the champions of the future of Italian skiing. The federation has asked to join its own ski clubs: 16 will be involved, divided between the regions logistically closest to Cortina and all the others. Each ski club will be represented by two boys (male and female of 16 years) and a coach for a total of 32 boys and 16 coaches. At the end of the first six episodes, the 8 ski clubs that have scored the highest score will move on to the next phase, calculated not only on the basis of the times of the ski races held, but also on the basis of the results obtained in a quiz on the great champions of Italian skiing, on the Olympics, on famous mountain personalities, on the rules of sporting behavior, on nutrition. We will then arrive at the semifinals and the eighth episode, dedicated to the four best ski clubs, there will be the decisive selection for the final challenge that will decide the "best Ski Club in Italy". The jury will be composed of the testimonials of the Cortina 2021 World Championships, with the two finalist ski clubs each receiving a scholarship and for the winner the honor of leading the way in the two giant races of the Cortina World Championships. Shooting will begin on January 18, with the participating ski clubs that will be in Cortina in the period from the 17th to the 20th of the month, to then produce the last three episodes.
