Four months after the "Speed Opening" on the Matterhorn, you can buy the first tickets for the men's competitions on 29-30 October and the women's competitions on 5-6 November.

Zermatt / Cervinia has long been the most awaited appointment of the 2022/23 season, for a historic World Cup landing of the first cross-border descent, from Switzerland to Italy on the “Gran Becca” that everyone wants to discover.
There is not much left to wait, given that the week following the classic start in Soelden on 22-23 October, the first two men of the season are scheduled with the "Speed Opening" which, after the debut of Paris & Co. on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October, it will also host women for the races scheduled for 5-6 November.
Zermatt Tourism already gives fans the opportunity to secure a ticket for the event. Christian Zioerjen, managing director of the "Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening", is convinced that the packages will be highly appreciated: "It is a cross-border World Cup race that starts at 3,800 meters above sea level and reaches an altitude of 2800 meters, in a unique setting high mountain.
The races perfectly complete the start of the season in the ski areas of Zermatt and Cervinia and will offer an exciting side program ".
When will ticket sales start? The accommodation can already be booked on site together with the coupon for the World Cup: there are options for the men's and women's race weekends, with packages that include access to the arrival area in Laghi White Tops. For a supplement of around 25 euros per person, it is possible to book an upgrade for a ticket in the grandstand with the best view of the finish area.
And the new World Cup package also includes a two-day ski pass in the Zermatt / Cervinia / Valtournenche international ski area and two or three nights in selected hotels in Zermatt. “Numerous hotels have decided to open for the first time in the low season with the novelty of the World Cup. Both hoteliers and partner companies are thrilled, ”says Zermatt Hotel Association President Christian Eckert.
All the info to book the packages on the website www.zermatt.ch/weltcup and on the official portal www.speedopening.com, from mid-July the procedures for purchasing single tickets will be announced.
