The seventh race of the World Championships in St. Moritz will be the Team Event.

REGULATION TEAM EVENT
Team Event, unique mixed teams competition and alpine skiing, was introduced to the world by the will of Gunther Hujara from Bormio 2005. In the first two editions, the regulation provided two rounds of Super G men, two women's Super-G, two Salom men's and two women's slalom. According to the classification in the heats, each nation obtained many points as its location (the winner 1 point, the second two points, and so on), who at the end of the eight rounds had the lowest score won the world gold.
From Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2011, the Regulation is rather drastically changed. The teams, arranged in a tennis-style board, will compete in Parallel races out of four heats, two male and two female. The nation that wins at least three rounds passes the turn, in case of a tie counts the lowest overall time achieved in the sum of the four heats. If an athlete does not complete his heat, it is given a time of 50 cents higher than its closest rival.
TEAM EVENT AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
In all, 5 editions of Team Event played at the World Cup (in Val d'Isere in 2009 not was disputed due to bad weather). The nation Queen is Austria, always on the podium and winning 3 gold medals (Ã…re 2007, Schladming 2013, and Beaver Creek 2015) and two silver (Bormio 2005, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2011).
The other two countries are able to get on the top step of the podium are Germany, gold in Bormio in 2005, and France, first at Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2011. Always protagonist Sweden, able to rack up 4 although no gold medals (silver in Ã…re 2007 and Schladming in 2013, bronze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2011 and Beaver Creek 2015). Italy did not win any medal in the Team Event at the World Cup.
At the individual level, the Austrians are the only gods. Michaela Kirchgasser is the undisputed star of having contributed to all 3 Austrian gold medals and 1 silver; behind Nicole Hosp and Philipp Schörghofer with 2 gold and 1 silver, Marcel Hirscher fourth with two golds. Among the rest of the world are distinguished Felix Neureuther, only one to have won two medals, including one gold, and Maria Pietilä Holmner, which boasts 1 silver and 2 bronze medals for three total medals.
The world champion team in office Austria (Eva-Maria Brem, Nicole Hosp, Michaela Kirchgasser, Marcel Hirscher, Philipp and Christoph Nösig Schörghofer) which in Beaver Creek in 2015 was imposed ahead of Canada (Candace Crawford, Erin Mielzynski, Marie -Pier Prefontaine, Phil Brown, Trevor Philp and Erik Read) and Sweden (Sara Hector, Maria Pietilä Holmner, Anna Swenn-Larsson, Mattias Hargin, Markus Larsson and Andre Myhrer).
