The Grass Ski World Cup arrives in Cortina d''Ampezzo, for a first weekend in July that includes the contest of four slalom (two male and two female), valid for the third stage of the season after the five trials held between Austria (Rettenbach) and Czech Republic (Predklasteri).
A historic first for the "pearl of the Dolomites", which will therefore host two slalom events on Saturday (10am and 1pm) and Sunday at the same times; the competitions, among other things, will be visible in live streaming (by connecting to the Fisi facebook page or to the link https://www.youtube.com/c/VENETOGLOBEIPTV/live).
There will be 21 Italian athletes at the start, called by technical director Fausto Cerentin: Mattia Arrigoni, Lorenzo Gritti, Filippo Zamboni, Andrea Binelli, Daniele Buio, Alessandro Martinelli, Jacopo Facchin, Pietro Guerini, Nicholas Anziutti, Marco Combi, Nicolò Schiavetti , Edoardo Frau, Davide Saviane, Alberto Bleynat, Fabrizio Rottigni, Nicolò Libardoni among the men and Antonella Manzoni, Margherita Mazzoncini, Monica Ferrighetto, Chiara Milesi and Federica Milesi among the women.
The Italian team has won eight podiums so far and occupies the second place in the men's overall standings with Frau, dominated by the Czech Martin Bartak who has so far achieved four successes and a second place in five races and has a margin of 120 points on the blue four times winner in the overall for the crystal ball. Among the women Manzoni is third with 280 points, preceded by the austroaca Jacqueline Gerlach at an altitude of 480 and by Adela Kettnerova with 306 lengths.
